Social Media & Community Manager (Part-Time)



Location:

On-site 1x/month in Brewster, MA + remote

Business:

Laurino's Tavern -- American-Italian with Cape Cod classics, modern & friendly vibe

Schedule:

Flexible hours; some evenings/weekends for events

Mission



Turn our day-to-day (food, people, events) into consistent, on-brand content that grows local awareness and gets guests in the door.

What you'll do (weekly cadence)



Publishing



Stories:

1-2 per day on Instagram & Facebook (behind-the-scenes, day-of specials, guest moments, staff highlights).

Posts:

2-3 feed posts per week (menu items, carousels, staff features, guest UGC).

Reel/Short:

1 per week (vertical 9:16, hook-driven).

Events:

Promote weekly Karaoke, Trivia, Live Music, plus holiday/seasonal and one-off events.

Cross-posting:

IG ? FB; ensure formatting looks native on both.

Content pipeline



Pull from our shared drive of photos/video (Google Drive/Dropbox/Box -- your choice). Maintain a simple content calendar (titles, hooks, assets, captions, scheduled date).

On-premise

: 1 shoot day per month at Laurino's to batch fresh content (photos + short clips).

Community ops



Reply to comments/DMs within 12-24 hours; escalate complaints to manager with a template. Repost guest UGC (with permission) and coordinate creator/guest features.

Light analytics



Track the basics weekly: posts shipped, average watch time/retention on Reels, saves/shares, link clicks (UTM), and offer/code redemptions.

What "great" looks like



Consistent cadence (no gaps), strong hooks, and clean cuts that feel native to IG/FB. Stories feel "live" and hyper-local (Cape vibe, staff personality, guests having fun). Event posts land early enough to drive attendance (+ remind day-of). Clear CTAs tied to simple offers (e.g.,

on a mid-week special). Professional, friendly tone; quick responses that turn curiosity into a visit.

Content store:

Google Drive / Dropbox (we'll share; you organize folders & file names).

Editing:

CapCut/Phone-native/Final Cut/Descript -- you pick.

Planning/Scheduling:

Notion/Trello + native IG/FB schedulers or Buffer/Later.

Tracking:

We provide UTM link templates and simple POS code names.

Requirements



Portfolio with short-form examples (IG/FB/TikTok/Shorts). Comfortable shooting in busy dining/service environments (phone is fine; you know framing, light, and sound basics). Strong copy instincts for short captions; understands hooks, retention, and local relevance. Reliable, organized, and responsive; can self-manage a weekly calendar. Able to work one on-site content day/month in Brewster.

Trends (measured weekly/monthly)



Posting velocity met (stories daily; 2-3 posts/wk; 1 reel/wk). Reels average view duration & completion rate trending up. UTM clicks to menu/site; code redemptions on promos. Response time to comments/DMs (<24h).

Compensation



Contract retainer:

$600- $1000/month depending on experience & scopeIncludes publishing + monthly on-site content day (4-6 hrs). Additional shoot time billed by agreement.*
