Shakedown Street BBQ & Grill at Stowe Cider is looking for a creative, organized, and music-loving Social Media & Event Promotion Marketing Coordinator to lead the charge in promoting our live music program, restaurant, and private event offerings. This role is focused on driving awareness and attendance for events - from intimate private gatherings to ticketed live music shows, while ensuring Shakedown's online presence stays fresh, engaging, and aligned with our brand.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Social Media Promotion
Manage and grow Shakedown Street's (@shakedown_stowe) social media presence across all platforms (Instagram, Facebook, etc.).
Create engaging content that promotes upcoming live music, restaurant happenings, and private event opportunities.
Respond to comments, messages, and community interactions to build brand loyalty.
Event Promotion
Maintain and manage the Shakedown Street live music and event calendars across website & local platforms.
Develop and execute marketing campaigns to drive attendance for ticketed shows, special events, and seasonal programs.
Create & execute promotional plans for print promotions and poster distribution in local/surrounding areas.
Collaborate with artists, agents, and partners to maximize event exposure.
Create, manage, and accurately use all promotional assets and artwork for events (posters, social graphics, digital ads, etc.)
Private Event Program
Promote Shakedown's private event spaces and offerings across digital channels.
Support inquiries and create/provide promotional materials to showcase the venue's capabilities.
Monitor and update all website pages to promote private event programs, ensuring accuracy across all platforms.
Use social media & email marketing to further amplify the promotion of Shakedown Street's private event programs.
Work with the event team to ensure all avenues are engaging and remain within the Marketing & Event yearly budgets.
Digital Marketing
Update website regularly with new events, menus, and promotions.
Plan and send email newsletters to highlight upcoming shows, restaurant promotions, and private event opportunities.
Track and analyze digital engagement and ticket sales performance, providing recommendations for growth.
Collaboration & Coordination
Work closely with the Brand Manager and Marketing Assistant to align all messaging with the overall Shakedown brand.
Support cross-promotional efforts with Stowe Cider where appropriate.
QUALIFICATIONS:
1-3 years of experience in social media, event promotion, or digital marketing (hospitality, food & beverage, or music/entertainment industry experience preferred).
Strong writing, storytelling, and content creation skills.
Proficiency in graphic design and content tools (Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, or similar).
Proficiency in social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook)
Familiarity with email marketing platforms (Mailchimp) and website CMS (Squarespace, etc.)
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects at once.
Passion for live music, community events, and creating memorable guest experiences.
Flexible hours with some weekend & night availability as needed per events calendar
TECHNICAL SKILLS:
Proficient with Adobe Creative Suite and/or Canva
Excellent organizational and communication skills
Passionate about getting creative!
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $22.00 - $25.00 per hour
