Position Overview

:

We're looking for an enthusiastic and creative Social Media Coordinator to help manage, grow, and engage our online presence. You'll collaborate with our team of stylists to tell the story of our brand through compelling content on Instagram and Facebook, and support special campaign efforts (e.g., events, promotions, community outreach).

Key Responsibilities

:

? Plan & create social-media content (photos, videos, stories, reels) showcasing services, client transformations, behind-the-scenes, and salon culture.

? Manage posting schedule and engagements.

? Support campaign efforts (e.g., with stylists & clients for content. "Cut-a-Thon", charity events, promotions) and coordinate with stylists & clients for content.

? Work with the salon team to create visual layout (salon aesthetics, styling shots) and maintain brand voice.

? Research social-media trends in beauty/hair industry and propose new ideas.

? Occasionally assist with light administrative tasks tied to marketing (e-newsletters, client photo consent, signage).

? Maintain professional standard of content: ensure images are high-quality and aligned with brand (inclusive, fun, stylish).

Qualifications & Skills:

? Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from college/university in Marketing,

? Communications, Digital Media, or related field (or equivalent experience).

? Strong interest in beauty/hair industry and social-media marketing.

? Familiarity with Instagram and Facebook, and basic analytics tools.

? Good visual/graphic sense; comfortable shooting photos/videos on smartphone/camera and editing basic content (e.g., Canva, Edits).

? Excellent written communication skills; friendly and polished voice.

? Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a dynamic salon environment.

? Organized, punctual, reliable; comfortable shifting between creative tasks and routine engagement.

? Local or willing to commute to downtown Kent; able to attend occasional salon events.
