Social Media & Affiliate Manager

Location: Pasadena, CA (Hybrid Preferred)

Salary: $80,000-$85,000 annually

Position Summary

The Social Media & Affiliate Manager will lead in building and nurturing our digital community across social channels while cultivating strong relationships with influencers and affiliates. This role requires a dynamic and highly organized storyteller who thrives in a fast-paced, fashion-forward environment. From gifting strategy and communication to content creation and affiliate platform management, this individual will be the voice of Selkie online and a key driver of brand visibility and revenue growth.

Key Responsibilities

Affiliate Program Management: Platform: SuperAffiliate

Oversight & Strategy

Lead affiliate strategy, growth targets, and partner alignment with brand tone and creative direction. Review weekly reports (sales volume, top affiliates, engagement metrics). Identify and nurture high-performing affiliates and collaboration opportunities. Develop creative affiliate campaigns to align with seasonal themes and launches. Approve affiliate tiers, commission structures, and bonus campaigns. Evaluate SuperAffiliate performance and suggest optimizations or automation enhancements.

Day-to-Day Management

Manage SuperAffiliate dashboard daily -- approve applications, update product feeds, and monitor tracking links. Upload creative assets, banners, and campaign visuals for affiliate use. Respond to affiliate messages and inquiries within 24-48 hours. Track weekly performance metrics and flag issues to Head of Content.. Compile and distribute weekly affiliate report (traffic, clicks, conversion, top affiliates). Manage gifting logistics and product seeding for top-tier affiliates.

Social Media & Marketing Strategy

Develop cohesive monthly and seasonal marketing strategies across Instagram, TikTok, Pinterest, and email. Ensure creative direction, copy, and visuals are consistent across all touchpoints. Oversee the execution and scheduling of posts. Integrate marketing strategy with affiliate and PR efforts to ensure alignment in campaign timing and messaging. Collaborate weekly on planning sessions to align content, campaigns, and community engagement.

Digital Community & Influencer Management

Oversee DMs, comments, influencer inquiries, and tagged content, ensuring all communication reflects Selkie's brand-aligned tone and warmth. Accept and vet new influencer leads, initiate conversations, and collect collaboration information for review. Maintain and update the influencer tracker weekly with new leads, collaborations, and status notes. Repost user-generated content, maintain story highlights, and ensure visual consistency across reposted materials. Align reposts and highlights with the broader social content calendar.

Qualifications

3+ years of experience in social media management/influencer/affiliate marketing, preferably in fashion or beauty. Exceptional copywriting and visual storytelling skills with an eye for aesthetics. Strong communication and relationship-building abilities. Comfortable working in a high-growth, creative environment with shifting priorities. Deep understanding of influencer culture, affiliate platforms, and digital trends. Graphic design skills are a plus. Proficiency in analytics tools (Meta, TikTok Insights, Google Analytics, etc.). Experience with project management tools (e.g., Notion, Asana) a plus. Bonus if you're already a fan of Selkie and familiar with our community!
