Duties

Operate snow plow trucks, loaders, and other snow removal machinery with precision and care. Clear snow from roads, parking lots, sidewalks, and driveways promptly during winter storms. Perform routine inspections of equipment to ensure optimal functioning and safety standards. Apply salt or de-icing materials to prevent ice buildup and enhance safety. Maintain detailed logs of work completed, including areas cleared and materials used. Conduct minor maintenance on snow removal equipment using hand tools or power tools as needed. Collaborate with team members to prioritize routes and ensure efficient snow removal operations.

Skills

Mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot and perform basic repairs on snow removal equipment. Experience with lawn care, landscaping, or outdoor maintenance is a plus for understanding terrain and terrain management. Familiarity with landscaping or hardscape work can be beneficial for navigating different surfaces. Ability to operate hand tools, power tools, excavators, or other construction machinery when necessary. Knowledge of tree care, irrigation systems, gardening, or horticulture can assist in managing outdoor spaces during winter. Strong attention to safety protocols related to snow plowing operations.
