Position Summary
The Slot Supervisor is responsible for the supervision of gaming operations and personnel on the gaming floor. Slot Supervisors key duty is to maintain the maintenance on the slot machines while ensuring machines are working efficiently and supplied with paper. The slot supervisor will make sure all slot techs are accounted for the shift they are working and report all information to the Slot Manager. The Slot Supervisor will work hours appropriate to meet the needs of the business, which may include nights, weekends and holidays.
Essential Functions of the Position
Performs all supervisory responsibilities in the department as directed by the Manager
Ensures Thunderbird quality customer service and cheerful atmosphere maintained in your department
Ensure safety and cleanliness of department at all times
Ensure department is conducted in compliance with Tribal, Federal, and State regulations
Responsible for the compilation of all necessary information and preparation of reports needed to comply with Tribal, Federal, and State regulations
Make good and proper decisions that reflect positively on you and the Casino
Ensures stations and games are covered for each shift
Explain and interpret operating rules of the house to patrons and employees
Help adjust and handle service complaints of players
Verify payoffs on jackpots and reset slot machines after playoffs
Keep the machine down log and progressive log up to date daily
Responsible that all slot techs are working the floor and serving patrons
Ensure paper issue is completed when issued out
Ensures gaming slot machines are running efficiently at all times
Verify any hand pays or customer dispute involving lost credits on a players slot machine
Solely responsible for reporting what happens on the floor to the Slot Manager on a daily basis
Responsible for keeping slot machines on the inside clean
Reports any occurrence on the floor during the shift on the shift report log, including jackpots
Help open and close slot machine doors during machine drop on the designated drop time
Repair or replace any cashboxes that are damaged from drop
Report machines down with the vendors daily
Training of new slot techs and new supervisors that work during the shift
Ensure all tips received are placed in casino issued tip bag
Perform other duties as assigned
Job Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
Knowledge and experience creating and explaining a variety of reports.
Demonstrated ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously; skill in working in an environment subject to constant interruptions and quickly changing priorities; ability to prioritize and delegate responsibilities when necessary; effective time-management skills.
Knowledge of the operation of a variety of computer software, including word processing, and spreadsheet applications.
Knowledge of cash and ticket handling procedures and the ability to recognize and correct problems as they arise.
Knowledge of Tribal/State/Federal laws and regulations.
Knowledge of National Indian Gaming Commission (NICG) and the Indian Gaming Regulatory Act (IGRA).
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to establish and maintain effective working relationships with staff, vendors, Board members, and the public, both in person and through phone, e-mail and written correspondence.
Ability to learn quickly, self-leader with initiative, highly flexible and comfortable in a constantly changing environment.
Ability to handle large sums of money.
Ability to train, instruct and supervise a variety of employees at all levels.
Skill in handling customer disputes and to problem solve promptly based on customers complaint with any slot machine on the gaming floor at any time

Physical Demands
Required to walk, sit and stand for periods of time.
Ability to push, lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
Ability to bend, stoop, kneel and move intermittently throughout the day.
Work Environment
Indoor/Outdoor; exposure to external environmental conditions possible.
Exposure to smoke and second hand smoke.
Noise level can be minimal to intense.
Minimum Qualifications
High school diploma (or equivalent combination of education and experience combined).
Two (2) years casino experience preferred.
Must be 18 years of age or older.
Must be able to pass a background check and obtain a key gaming license.
