Applicants should be motivated self-starters and comfortable working in a production based, autonomous environment around heavy slitting equipment. Experience working with computers and mathematical data, minor data entry, and an understanding of basic mechanical principles is required. Specific slitting experience is not required. Applicants must be comfortable with rotating responsibilities from machine operation, packaging and shipping, some cleaning and data entry/quality control. Must be a team player capable of covering the necessary details to get the job done right. Position Summary: Slit large rolls down to smaller rolls in various dimensions according to customer specifications. Appropriately understand and follow the plant\'s OHSA (Occupational Health, Safety and Environment) and Quality systems to maintain a safe workplace and ensure quality product. Job Specifics: \xc2\xb7 Perform set-up and operate slitting equipment to produce product according to quality and productivity requirements \xc2\xb7 Maintain accurate documentation \xc2\xb7 Provide training as required \xc2\xb7 Provide communication on a daily basis with management, leadmen, maintenance, shift personnel, etc. \xc2\xb7 Maintain housekeeping standards of slitter and the surrounding area \xc2\xb7 Perform packing and material handling tasks as required \xc2\xb7 Follow all company safety rules and procedures \xc2\xb7 Maintain a safe and clean working environment \xc2\xb7 Perform other duties as assigned Knowledge and Experience: \xc2\xb7 Good mechanical ability \xc2\xb7 Demonstrate ability to work well under pressure \xc2\xb7 Good oral and written communication skills \xc2\xb7 General knowledge of computers preferred \xc2\xb7 Ability to use gauges and calipers \xc2\xb7 Good math skills \xc2\xb7 Able to pay attention to detail Job Type: Full-time Job Type: Full-time Pay: $17.00 - $21.00 per hour Benefits:
