Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Entry-Level Sleep Technician to join our overnight team. This is an excellent opportunity for recent graduates or individuals interested in pursuing a career in healthcare. On-the-job training and certification support will be provided.
Ideal candidates will have basic technical knowledge, be comfortable using computers, and patient care. Also, have strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare, calibrate, and apply sleep study equipment (PSG, PAP)
Use and troubleshoot monitoring systems, including EEG, EMG, EOG, ECG, oximetry, and airflow sensors
Monitor patients during overnight sleep studies, ensuring data quality and patient safety.
Document observations, clinical notes, and technical events during the study
Scoring studies
Maintain and sanitize equipment according to infection control protocols
Use computer systems and software for study setup, data acquisition, and electronic records
Required Qualifications
High school diploma or GED (required)
Completion of or enrollment in an accredited Polysomnographic Technology program
OR
a strong desire to enter the sleep medicine field
Basic understanding of computers
Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills
Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification or willingness to obtain
Excellent interpersonal skills and attention to detail
Ability to work night shifts and weekends
Current valid Driver License and a reliable means of transportation
Preferred Qualifications
Previous patient care or healthcare experience but not required
Technical background or comfort working with electronic devices and sensors
CPSGT/RPSGT credential or eligibility preferred but not required

Training pay: $18-$23/hour
Upon passing the Certified Polysomnographic Technician (CPSGT) exam, the corresponding pay is increased. The advanced certification of Registered Polysomnographic Technologist (RPSGT) has a corresponding pay increase based on the score received.
