Prosperitus Solutions is looking for a skilled and compassionate

Polysomnographic Technician

Qualifications:

Must be a certified Polysomnographic Technician (CPSGT) or Registered Polysomnographic Technician (RPSGT) . Certification may be obtained within one year of hire.*
One + year of experience in a healthcare or patient care setting. Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification

Job Responsibilities:

Apply proficient application and use of the standard 10/20 electrode placement system (performance of patient hook-ups) Explain sleep testing procedures to patients and their families. Fit and adjust patients for CPAP titration mask as needed. Maintain confidential patient records. Calibrate equipment, perform bio-calibrations, and ensure all cameras and testing equipment are working properly before "lights-out" Identify the need for, and administer, mechanical adjuncts (NCP AP, BIPAP, Oxygen) Shut down studies, release patients, and clean lab and electrodes, leaving the lab clean for daytime activities Score sleep/wake stages Generate reports for sleep/wake and clinical event data

Additional Details

Lab procedures occur between the hours of 8 PM and 7 AM (7 days per week, excluding federal holidays) You can expect either five 8 hour shifts, four 10 hour shifts or three 12 hour shifts with a possible rotating weekend schedule. Day time shifts may be required occasionally.
