SRFS is a dedicated residential treatment facility providing a structured, therapeutic, and supportive environment for adolescent males aged [e.g., 12-17]. Our mission is to empower these young men with the emotional regulation, life skills, and coping strategies necessary to build a successful future.

The Skills Builder is a direct-care role that is fundamental to our students' success. You will serve as a mentor, coach, and positive role model, working directly with our students to implement treatment plans and teach essential life skills in a real-world context. This role is demanding, but the opportunity to witness and contribute to profound personal growth is incredibly rewarding.

Key Responsibilities



Mentorship & Role Modeling:

Act as a positive, consistent, and reliable role model for students. Build rapport and trusting relationships through daily interaction, active listening, and unconditional positive regard.

Skills Development:

Plan and facilitate individual and group sessions focused on teaching practical life skills, including but not limited to: Social skills and healthy communication Emotional regulation and anger management Problem-solving and decision-making Personal hygiene and daily chores Budgeting and basic financial literacy Pre-vocational skills and work ethic

Behavioral Support:

Proactively support students in managing their behavior according to their individualized treatment plans. Utilize de-escalation techniques and therapeutic crisis intervention strategies to manage conflicts and ensure a safe environment.

Supervision & Safety:

Provide active line-of-sight supervision for students during daily routines, recreational activities, educational periods, and community outings to ensure their safety and well-being.

Collaboration:

Work closely with a multidisciplinary team of therapists, case managers, teachers, and medical staff to ensure cohesive and effective treatment for each student.

Documentation:

Maintain accurate and timely documentation of student progress, behaviors, and significant events in our electronic health record system.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $22.00 - $25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 24 - 40 per week

Work Location: In person
