Winnetka Park District has an immediate opening for a Skating Director responsible for planning, directing, implementing, and evaluating all aspects of the skate school program in accordance with the Ice Sports Industry ("ISI") curriculum and standards. Manages and plans all aspects of the annual ice show, participation in ISI competitions, and other ice rink special events. Must be able to relate to and work with other staff members, and adhere to and actively enforce the safety responsibilities and procedures outlined in the District's Safety Manual and its overall risk management program.
The Skating Director reports to the Ice Arena/Platform Tennis Manager.
Pay:
Hiring range is $72,145 to $80,000 annually, depending on relevant work experience, education, and other qualifications. This position is full-time and exempt.
Qualifications:
Extensive skating background required. Professional membership/involvement in ISI. At least four years experience overseeing a skating program. Supervisory experience required. Must be a proficient ice skater. Experience directing an ice show and ice skate competitions. Must be certified in CPR/AED and First Aid, if not certified, the District will provide training.
Work hours:
This position works at least 40 hours per week. Work hours will be determined based on the needs of the facility. Must be able to work weekends, and occasional evenings and special events.
