Job Description

We are currently looking for the right candidate to fill the position of Site Superintendent. We specialize in site development as well as all phases of road, bridge, utility and heavy highway construction. Our expertise covers all aspects of both public and private sector work. We're devoted to attaining the highest standards of quality and dependability by providing our clients with the necessary technical, financial, and managerial strength to deliver a quality product in an expeditious manner within the requisite budget constraints.

Responsibilities will include:

Candidate must have a strong background in earthwork site involving cuts/fills, utilities, rock blasting, crushing and screening, DOT specifications, including dirt and rock excavation, utilities, pipe, grading and sub-grade placement. Complete supervision and responsibility for the job site field operations, including daily production, costs, safety, organization, and labor, equipment, vendor and subcontractor scheduling and management. Maintain truck and material logs. Monitor the schedule, staffing, material deliveries and quality control. Enforce project safety and security program as defined in the company safety program and in accordance with all applicable safety codes and regulations. Candidate must possess strong leadership skills to meet the project constraints, construction schedule and able to resolve contract disputes and arranges any necessary change orders.

Other desired skills and experience:

Minimum 5+ years experience as a Jobsite Superintendent in the heavy highway construction industry Experience with large scale earthwork sites Proficient computer skills including, but not limited to, Microsoft Office and Project. Strong communication and organizational skills with attention to detail Preparing work plans, scheduling and directing work crews, subcontractors and vendors. Develop "look ahead" schedules for crews, equipment and material Possess an OSHA 30- hour certification Must have a proven track record
