Site Operations Manager - Position Summary


TransTech is experiencing rapid growth, creating exciting opportunities for leaders who want to make a meaningful impact in the transportation industry. The Site Operations Manager, reporting to the Regional Operations Manager, oversees daily site operations to ensure high-quality instruction, evaluation, and preparation of new trainees. This role leads staff, manages resources, and maintains a learning environment that supports student success.

Key Responsibilities



Lead full site operations, ensuring services remain within budget, action plans improve efficiency, and student/labor/equipment capacity is effectively managed. Provide leadership, coaching, and performance evaluations for site staff and Instructors. Manage fleet utilization and initiate necessary work orders. Enforce TransTech's safety standards, modeling safe and professional conduct. Build weekly Instructor schedules and align student training with progression; coordinate schedule changes with Recruiters/OSS. Deliver classroom, hands-on, and one-on-one driver training (pre/post-trip inspections, basic control skills, coupling/uncoupling, logbook use, OTR driving). Maintain accurate attendance, completion, evaluation, and coaching records. Monitor student progress and communicate updates to students, staff, and leadership. Perform safety-related functions including accident reviews and skills/behavior assessments. Ensure students operate equipment safely and within company policy.

Position Requirements



Minimum 5 years of valid Class A CDL experience (required).

CDL Instructor experience required.

Proven ability to train, coach, and evaluate staff; strong presentation and active-learning instruction skills. Professional presence and strong written/verbal communication; excellent customer service, organization, and time-management skills. Valid Class A CDL and active DOT medical certification. Knowledge of safe truck-driving practices and federal/state regulations. Ability to work effectively with diverse backgrounds; flexible, self-directed, and able to manage shifting priorities with sound judgment. Empathy for students and commitment to positively impacting their training experience.
