The Primary Responsibilities of this Role are

:


Site preparation, grading and access road construction Drive, operate and maneuver heavy equipment Operation of skid steers, backhoes, excavators, trenchers, and compaction equipment Underground utility installation including power and fiber conduit Place and compact subgrade for building and equipment foundations Place forms and rebar for building and equipment foundations Read and interpret grade stakes, site markings, maps, blueprints, and or drawings to move soil according to defined specifications Utilize the appropriate and/or assigned construction machinery to safely, efficiently, and productively excavate, move, and grade soils in accordance with the defined parameters Properly set up and utilize grade control devices to assist in reaching the defined grade tolerances Knowledge of weight requirements of loads leaving the pit Use and understand all safety requirements of excavations and trenches Perform pre and post equipment checks and reports equipment issues to supervisors When required, drive and maneuver equipment equipped with blades in successive passes over working areas to remove topsoil, vegetation, or rocks or to distribute and level earth or terrain Work with Foreman, Division Lead, Superintendent, Project Manager, and team to ensure job is done to specifications Other duties as assigned



You will be successful in this role if your background and capabilities include:




Class A CDL with air brakes required Knowledge of aggregate sizes and classifications Knowledge of trenching and shoring standards Proven experience as a site laborer Having your own tools Ability to operate heavy machinery such as backhoes, excavators, skid steers, etc. Ability to stand and walk for long periods of time Valid Driver License High School Diploma or Equivalent
