Sign Production Technician Needed

Hightech Signs is looking for someone detail-driven to assist with day-to-day production for our Real Estate Division and for other in-house signs. This job would also entail coordinating with our orders, design, and installation teams to keep the production flowing quickly throughout the day.

This position is not a graphic design position. This is a hands-on, printer/assembly position.

Responsibilities:

Verify job details against proofs and confirm production readiness (resolution, bleed, layout, etc.)

Cut, weed, tape, and apply vinyl; apply sign faces; refurbish real estate signs

Perform quality control prior to and after production; log any errors/reprints for cost tracking

Coordinate daily priorities so signs are produced and ready on schedule

Operate large format printers/plotters and related finishing equipment

Maintain print room inventory and restock materials as needed

Update our project management software with real time production status and photos

Assist with installations on occasion as needed

Qualifications:

Experience with sign printing/production or transferable shop experience in a fast-paced environment.

Experience with large format printers

Strong attention to detail, multitasking, and follow through

Basic computer proficiency; familiarity with Adobe Illustrator/Photoshop

Ability to lift and move up to 80 lbs

Team-oriented mindset with the ability to work independently

Preferred Skills:

Previous experience in the sign/graphic industry

Familiarity with various vinyl application techniques

Knowledge of sign / graphic industry substrates, media, and products

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
