Overview

We are looking for someone to join our team as a Sign Installer and Service Tech.

The ideal candidate will have some experience with basic electrical theory and wiring, some carpentry skills, the ability to problem solve on their own, a clean and current drivers license, and reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

Design, fabricate, and assemble custom signs using a variety of materials such as vinyl, aluminum, acrylic, and wood, ensuring precision and quality in every piece Interpret design specifications, blueprints, and technical drawings to produce accurate signage that meets client expectations Prepare sign components for installation by measuring, cutting, and finishing materials with attention to detail Install signs on various surfaces including walls, poles, windows, and outdoor structures using appropriate tools and techniques Operate electrical testing equipment such as ohmmeters to ensure proper wiring connections for illuminated signs or electrical components Conduct site assessments prior to installation to determine the best placement and ensure safety compliance Collaborate with clients and team members throughout the project lifecycle to ensure timely delivery and satisfaction Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to safety standards at all times during fabrication and installation processes

Skills

Proven experience in sign fabrication and installation with a keen eye for detail and craftsmanship Strong knowledge of tools used in sign making including cutting machines, drills, levelers, and measuring devices Ability to read technical drawings, blueprints, or schematics accurately Familiarity with electrical wiring principles; experience using an ohmmeter is highly desirable for testing electrical components Excellent problem-solving skills to troubleshoot installation challenges on-site effectively Physical stamina and dexterity to handle materials, operate power tools safely, and work at heights when necessary Clear communication skills for collaborating with clients, team members, and vendors A proactive attitude with the motivation to learn new techniques and improve skill sets

Pay: $20.00 - $24.00 per hour

Expected hours: No more than 40 per week
