SHUTTLE VAN DRIVER

The Van Driver at the TownePlace Suites by Marriott Tempe Arizona Mills Mall is responsible for driving the hotel\xe2\x80\x99s shuttle van, providing safe transportation for hotel guests. Additional destinations and driving tasks may be assigned by management. Additional responsibilities when the van is not operating are assisting Housekeeping and Maintenance Departments.
Responsibilities: \xe2\x80\xa2 Safe and efficient driving while obeying all laws, transporting guests \xe2\x80\xa2 Assist guests with luggage as needed (can be heavy lifting) \xe2\x80\xa2 Assist guests with hotel and area information \xe2\x80\xa2 Maintain clean and neat appearance of shuttle van \xe2\x80\xa2 Monitor shuttle van maintenance needs \xe2\x80\xa2 Provide a clean and safe environment for guests \xe2\x80\xa2 Clean and maintain common areas of the property including the parking lot \xe2\x80\xa2 Deep cleaning of assigned areas \xe2\x80\xa2 Set up and maintain complimentary hotel lobby functions \xe2\x80\xa2 Clean and set up meeting room functions as needed \xe2\x80\xa2 Deliver service items to guest rooms upon requests from the front desk \xe2\x80\xa2 Ensure efficient completion of daily assignments in a timely manner \xe2\x80\xa2 Report all safety, maintenance and housekeeping concerns to management \xe2\x80\xa2 Attend and participate in all mandatory training \xe2\x80\xa2 Flexible with schedule and assignments \xe2\x80\xa2 Maintain effective performance under pressure \xe2\x80\xa2 Follow proper procedures for lost and found items \xe2\x80\xa2 Follow guest safety procedures \xe2\x80\xa2 Follow guest requests, i.e., do not disturb signs, change of linen or terry \xe2\x80\xa2 Acknowledge and greet guests in public spaces \xe2\x80\xa2 Review daily inventory of supplies needed to complete assignments \xe2\x80\xa2 May perform other similar duties as requested by the supervisor Requirements: \xe2\x80\xa2 Valid driver\xe2\x80\x99s license with a good record, MVR check periodically \xe2\x80\xa2 Excellent customer service skills \xe2\x80\xa2 Ability to work independently and with others \xe2\x80\xa2 Good communication skills both oral and written \xe2\x80\xa2 Attention to detail \xe2\x80\xa2 Ability to frequently lift and carry up to 35-50 pounds \xe2\x80\xa2 Ability to multi-task \xe2\x80\xa2 Display good initiative \xe2\x80\xa2 A can-do attitude and a hands-on approach \xe2\x80\xa2 A flexible schedule that allows availability days, nights, holidays, and weekends based on the demands of the hotel
