We are seeking a reliable and customer-focused Shuttle Driver to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for transporting passengers safely and efficiently to their designated locations. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, a commitment to excellent customer service, and the ability to handle various driving situations with professionalism.

You must be able to be comfortable working with the elderly population and taking residents to their medical appointments-including assisting them off the bus and physically assisting them to the doctor's office entrance/waiting room and escorting them back when their appointment is over.

Responsibilities

Safely operate shuttle vehicles, ensuring the comfort and safety of all passengers. Provide timely transportation services according to scheduled routes and requests. Assist passengers with boarding and disembarking, including heavy lifting when necessary. Maintain cleanliness and proper functioning of the shuttle vehicle, performing routine maintenance checks as needed. Communicate effectively with passengers, addressing any questions or concerns they may have during transit. Adhere to all traffic laws and company policies while driving. Document any incidents or issues that occur during shifts and report them to management promptly.

Experience

Previous experience as a shuttle driver or in a similar role is preferred. Delivery driver experience or commercial driving experience is a plus. Familiarity with paratransit services or school bus driving is advantageous. Strong customer service skills are essential for interacting positively with passengers. Excellent communication skills to ensure clear interactions with passengers and team members. Ability to perform basic vehicle maintenance tasks and recognize when professional servicing is needed.
