TITLE: Senior High Show Choir Director

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Professional licensure and an employee of the Harrison County Board of Education


IMMEDIATE SUPERVISOR: Principal


SELECTION: The position is filled by the Board of Education upon recommendation of the Superintendent of Schools


SALARY: Per Harrison County Board of Education extra-curricular assignment schedule


FUNCTIONS AND DUTIES:

+ Schedule and conduct all rehearsals.


+ Provide refinement of choral technique, dance technique and expanded repertoire in the area of Show Choir.


+ Audition, teach and train participants for Show Choir.


+ Perform publicly outside of home-school environment.


+ Provide choral music for graduation ceremonies, if such ceremonies are conducted and required.


+ Maintain records, reports and inventories as may be required and submits requested information by designated time.


+ Accept advice and suggestions in a constructive manner.


+ Submit requisitions for purchase of choral music to proper authority within designated budget and designated deadline.


+ Attend music in-services, workshops, conferences and meetings during the academic school year as required to meet obligations.


+ Coordinate all activities with the school principal.


+ Exercise due cautions to the safety of students.


+ Participate in the West Virginia State Show Choir Festival and other music festivals and/or invitational's.


+ Perform such other tasks and assumes such other responsibilities as the superintendent or immediate supervisor may, from time to time, assign.
