Overview

We are seeking a dependable, detail-oriented Shop Hand to support daily operations in our custom manufacturing shop. This role is essential to keeping the shop clean, organized, and running efficiently. The ideal candidate takes pride in maintaining a well-kept workspace, follows instructions closely, and understands that a clean, organized shop directly impacts productivity, safety, and quality.

This position is hands-on and physical, with opportunities to learn basic manufacturing processes, detailing, and shop operations over time.

Responsibilities

Maintain cleanliness and organization throughout the shop on a daily basis Sweep and clean designated shop areas, including fabrication, assembly, upholstery, and staging zones Pick up trash throughout the shop and outdoor areas; break down and dispose of boxes Collect loose hardware and components and place them into designated bins Clean offices and break room, including wiping surfaces, sweeping, mopping, and trash removal Perform weekly bathroom cleaning and restocking of supplies Assist with shop resets and deep cleaning tasks as scheduled Clear the fiberglass area, pressure wash floors, and prepare the space for painting Use shop equipment such as floor scrubbers and pressure washers as trained Assist with basic shop tasks as needed, including moving carts, organizing materials, and staging areas Learn proper cart detailing procedures prior to showroom placement (training provided) Follow all safety protocols and shop procedures at all times
Requirements

Reliable, punctual, and able to follow written and verbal instructions Strong attention to detail and pride in keeping a clean, organized workspace Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting, bending, standing, and walking for extended periods Comfortable working in a shop or warehouse environment Willingness to learn and take direction Basic mechanical aptitude or shop experience is a plus, but not required Experience with pressure washers, floor scrubbers, or cleaning equipment is a preferred

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $10.00 - $15.00 per hour
