Poe Asphalt is seeking a dependable and motivated Entry-Level Shop Hand to join our Lewiston shop team starting

February 1, 2026

.

This position is ideal for someone who is eager to learn, hardworking, and interested in supporting a busy mechanical and equipment maintenance environment.

Responsibilities:

Assist mechanics with basic tasks, including organizing tools, cleaning parts, and preparing equipment Perform general shop maintenance such as sweeping, organizing work areas, and ensuring the shop remains clean and safe Help with light repairs, oil changes, tire checks, and equipment inspections as trained Pick up and deliver parts using company vehicles when needed Maintain accurate records of work performed and parts used Follow all company safety guidelines and procedures Support the shop team with additional tasks as assigned

Qualifications:

No prior experience required --

we will train the right person

Strong work ethics and willingness to learn Ability to lift 50 lbs and perform physical labor throughout the shift Dependable, punctual, and able to follow instructions Basic mechanical interest or aptitude is a plus Valid driver's license required Must pass a pre-employment drug and alcohol screening Must be authorized to work in the United States
