Job Description
This job requires previous shipyard experience, good math and mechanical skills. You will be working in all shipyard trades on a regular basis. High school diploma prefered. Prerequsite for the position Provide all documentation - Birth Certificate, Drivers Licenses, SS Card, HS Diplomay. Pass background check... (No Felony) must be eligable to work in Newport News, HII, Shipyard. Pass a workability physcial and drug screen Be eligable to wear all PPE, including a respirator on a daily basis. Must be clean shaved where the respirator comes in contact with the skin. (No exceptions) Pass a written assesment and performance exam. Must have a complete set of hand tools. Job Types: Full-time, Temporary Pay: $14.00 - $18.00 per hour Schedule:
- 10 hour shift
- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday
- Overtime
- Weekend availability
- Bonus pay
- Newport News, VA: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)
- High school or equivalent (Preferred)
- Shipyard: 1 year (Required)
