The Shipping/Receiving Associate is responsible for performing all activities related to handling, storing and shipping outgoing goods according to the rules and policies established by Walsworth. The Shipping/Receiving Associate is generally responsible for physically inspecting and shipping all outgoing material materials, verifying that such material meet requirements and accurately debiting that material from inventory.
Duties:
Read and understand the job ticket and work order
Understand and work with purchase order specifications
Compare goods to shipping documents and determine suitability
Inspect outgoing goods for compliance of customer specifications
Transfer magazines to boxes, label, and wrap skid in plastic, if required.
Additionally, the position arranges the boxes from a weight range of 10-50 lbs. per box. Boxes are weighed and then transferred to skid staging. Manual and powered hand trucks are used to transfer skids.
Stage, load, and ship material as required to achieve Job Ticket specifications.
Account for and document shipping, inspection and inventory activities
Maintain back up inventory in data base.
Lift up to 50 pounds
Operate hand and lift trucks safely and efficiently
Use and maintain the material locator system
Reporting of all magazines for account receivable department.
Discard magazines on waste skids
Back-up for postal coordinator

Skills/Qualifications:
A high school diploma or equivalent
Be detail oriented
Ability to speak, read and write in the English language
Math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication and division of whole numbers and fractions.
Lift truck operation safety certification
Be able to work quickly, efficiently, and accurately
Have experience using computerized systems with good input and typing skills
Organizational skills - ability to keep orderly and accurate records.
Able to communicate well with co-workers
Possess good problem-solving skills
Excellent interpersonal skills by working as a team member, and ability to handle stressful situations.
Excellent attendance record.
