Job Description

Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented Shipping Clerk to join our lens manufacturing team on a temporary basis (90 days). This role is responsible for processing and shipping ophthalmic products to customers, ensuring timely and accurate delivery that directly impacts patient care and customer satisfaction.

Primary Responsibilities

Scan trays from final inspection to update system status Print and distribute billing invoices by tray number Wrap glasses and lenses in protective foam along with invoices Sort packaged items into designated customer bins Box shipments with correct labels and routing information Maintain accurate shipping records and coordinate services with multiple carriers

Key Skills Required

Ability to accurately read and interpret prescriptions Strong teamwork skills and willingness to collaborate Intermediate proficiency in reading and writing English Excellent eyesight, hand-eye coordination, manual dexterity, attention to detail, and patience Capability to work independently with minimal supervision Can work independently

Education Requirements

High School Diploma or equivalent

Physical Requirements

Ability to stand for extended periods throughout the shift Frequent walking and use of hands for manual tasks Lift up to 25 lbs. regularly and up to 50 lbs. occasionally Perform detailed manual tasks requiring fine motor skills and good hand-eye coordination Distance and color vision required Occasional stooping, kneeling, and crawling
