Position Summary

Accurately and safely, deliver shingles and related roofing materials onto roofs. Load and unloading of building materials.

Position Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Accompany driver to residential and commercial job sites; assist in the delivery of materials. Guides truck driver onto and off customer's property to avoid damage. Participates in the proper safe loading and unloading of shingles and roofing materials by both physical and/or with a forklift or a conveyor. Set ladders, scaffolds and hoists in place for taking supplies to roofs and/or job sites. Maintain inventory in appropriate and designated storage areas in warehouse. Count, verify and manually unload incoming orders and shipments. Perform other duties and responsibilities as required and assigned.

Education/Experience

High School Diploma, GED or equivalent experience required. Forklift experience (Preferred) Building industry knowledge (Preferred)

Other Requirements

Must pass pre-employment drug screen and physical Work morning/evening hours during the week, required weekends Maintenance of regular attendance

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Able and comfortable walking and stocking roofs of varying heights and pitch. Verbal & Written Communication skills and map/GPS reading abilities Ability to comply to daily changes to deliveries/schedules with a positive attitude Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills Superior problem- solving abilities along with a can- do attitude Ability to work as an individual and as a team to meet delivery goals Willing to obtain other training if deemed necessary in performance of responsibilities and continuing education

Working Conditions and Physical Requirements

Work is perform within jobsite and yard environment subject to temperature variations, hazardous chemicals, mechanical parts, increased noise levels and dust Perform activities that require considerable use of your arms and legs and moving your whole body, such as lifting, balancing, walking, stooping, and handling of materials Must be able to safely squat, bend, climb, lift/carry up to 80 lbs., grasp, talk, hear, standing/walking for prolonged periods * Reaching at or above shoulder level and below waist and have visual acuity to operate motor vehicles and/or heavy equipment.
