Shift Leader
Joe's Deli at Oishei Children's Hospital is currently seeking an organized and motivated candidate for a position as a shift leader. The person filling this role will be the managers' right hand, assisting in, but not limited to, the areas listed below. This person must be able to delegate to a team and have prior experience in managing or assistant managing in a quick service restaurant. Punctuality, professionalism, organization and delegation skills are a must! The shifts will mainly consist of weekday nights, some weekday lunches and Saturdays. Duties:
Follow Proper closing procedures set in place
Help motivate other employees to complete prep work, re-stocking and keep up on cleanliness
Help with/ delegate cleaning duties- DIning room and kitchen areas
Be able to delegate and rally troops if Manager is not present. Being able to run a controlled shift
Know/Learn/help with ordering systems
Learn pars of all prep and order items
Help keep Grab @ Go's, Hot line, salad bar areas clean and presentable while monitoring temps
Help make sure customers are always acknowledged, heard and welcomed
Have a basic knowledge of pricing of items
Help keep track of waste/ help with keeping an eye that employees are using waste sheets
Be able to monitor labor through our POS system
Help with inventory duties in downstairs coolers and Freezers/ upstairs coolers and freezers
Be able to problem solve on own when another manager isn't around
Know toast (our POS system) inside and out
Monitor all equipment that it is in working order
Be in constant communication with other managers on all items, be able to reiterate policies set in place to other employees who have forgotten or are not following
Be a role model to other employees-
Assist the manager in overseeing daily operations and ensuring smooth workflow
Provide guidance and support to team members during shifts
Monitor and maintain quality standards for food production
Handle customer inquiries, complaints, and special requests in a professional and timely manner
Requirements:
- Previous experience in a leadership role, preferably in the hospitality industry
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
- Flexibility to work various shifts including evenings, weekends, and holidays
