Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Sheet Metal Journeyman/Journeywoman to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in HVAC/R systems, plumbing, and mechanical knowledge. This role involves working with various materials to fabricate, install, and repair sheet metal components for heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration systems. The successful candidate will demonstrate proficiency in reading schematics and possess hands-on experience in construction and field service.

Responsibilities

Fabricate and install sheet metal products according to specifications and schematics. Perform maintenance and repair on HVAC systems, refrigeration units, and associated equipment. Utilize tools such as ohmmeters and welding equipment for repairs and installations. Conduct inspections to ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations. Collaborate with other tradespeople on job sites to complete projects efficiently. Troubleshoot mechanical issues in HVAC/R systems and provide effective solutions. Maintain accurate records of work performed, materials used, and time spent on tasks. Assist in the training of apprentices or less experienced technicians as needed.

Experience

Proven experience as a Sheet Metal Journeyman/Journeywoman or similar role in construction or HVAC/R fields. Strong understanding of HVAC design principles, plumbing systems, and ammonia refrigeration. Familiarity with appliance repair, property maintenance, air conditioning systems, and boiler operations. Mechanical aptitude with hands-on experience in equipment repair and maintenance tasks. Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings effectively. Valid driver's license is required for travel to job sites. Experience in field service roles is preferred but not mandatory.
