Position Summary

The Sheet Metal Folding & Bending Machine Operator is responsible for manufacturing metal roofing and siding trim flashings. The operator places the metal sheet, follows the machine's instructions for positioning, and may manually rotate or remove the part to complete the job. The role requires following safety protocols and often involves using technology to program the machine for accurate, high-quality results, while automation handles much of the heavy lifting.

Key Responsibilities

Set up and program parts for manufacturing. Measure and inspect materials to ensure accuracy and conformance to specifications Material handling of sheet metal, coils and products using forklifts Production recordkeeping and scrap management Follow safety protocols, wear required PPE, maintain clean work area

Required Qualifications

Highschool diploma or equivalent GED 4+ years experience in a sheet metal fabrication or manufacturing environment Ability to read measuring tools Strong mechanical aptitude Ability to lift 50 lbs. and stand for extended periods of time

Preferred Qualifications

Experience operating and programming CNC & AMS control software.

Schedule and Hours

Typical hours: Monday - Friday 7am - 4pm Occasional Saturdays Some overtime depending on work volume

Base Pay: $23.11 - $25.83 per hour

Expected hours: 40 - 50 per week
