Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Metal Fabricator to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical aptitude and be proficient in various fabrication techniques. This role involves working with metal materials to create, assemble, and repair components according to specifications. The Metal Fabricator will play a crucial role in ensuring high-quality production while adhering to safety standards.

Duties

Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings to determine project specifications and requirements. Utilize power tools and machinery to fabricate metal components. Layout of ductwork, transitions and stands. Fabrication of ductwork in the shop. Fabrication and installation of ductwork in the field. Assemble ductwork and other metal structures according to design specifications. Operate forklifts safely for the movement of materials within the workspace. Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety protocols at all times. Collaborate with team members on construction sites to ensure timely project completion.

Requirements

Proven experience in metal fabrication or a related field is preferred. Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to operate various power tools and machinery safely. Familiarity with fabrication techniques and equipment is essential. Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings accurately. Previous experience working on construction sites is advantageous. A valid forklift certification is preferred but not mandatory; training may be provided. Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship. Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
