PURPOSE/DESCRIPTION



The primary responsibility is to fabricate and assemble structural metal housing for UV light products.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS



Follow all safety protocols.

Sets up and operates fabricating machines such as, Strippit, CNC machine, and Press Brake Machine.

Use machinery and tools to cut, bend, and straighten sheet metal.

Layout, measure, and mark dimensions and reference lines on metal sheets.

Drill holes in metal for screws, bolts, and rivets.

Maneuver and anchor large sheet metal parts.

Fastens seams or joints by bolting and riveting.

Trim, file, grind, deburr, buff, or smooth surfaces, seams or joining of assembled parts, using hand tools or portable power tools.

Smooth surfaces with abrasive materials or tools..

Keep work area clean, neat, and organized.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES



Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control, costs, and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture and distribution of goods.

Oral and written communication skills and ability to communicate with employees and co-workers.

Ability to meet strict deadlines and work in a fast-paced environment.

Ability to work well under pressure.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE



A minimum of 2 years' experience in fabrication or a related field.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS



Bending or twisting, reaching, sitting, standing, climbing, and walking. Safely moving or lifting objects to 50 pounds. Use hands to handle, control, or feel objects, tools, or controls. Ability to respond quickly to sounds, recognize and respond to dangerous situations.

WORKING ENVIRONMENT



Job tasks are performed in close physical proximity to other people, on the production floor.. Exposure to sounds and noise levels may be distracting.

PERSONAL PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT (PPE)



Safety glasses, gloves, and hearing protection, depending on work areas.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $17.50 - $18.50 per hour
