Position Overview:

We are seeking an experienced

Service Writer

with strong

automotive parts knowledge

to join our growing service department. This role is critical to expanding our

customer-pay work

by delivering exceptional service experiences, accurately writing repair orders, and ensuring parts availability for timely repairs.

Key Responsibilities:

Greet customers, listen to their concerns, and accurately document service requests. Prepare and manage repair orders, ensuring clear communication between customers and technicians. Provide accurate estimates for labor and parts, explaining work needed in a professional manner. Coordinate with the parts department to verify availability and compatibility of parts for repairs. Upsell recommended services and repairs to increase customer-pay work. Maintain strong relationships with customers through follow-up and status updates. Ensure compliance with dealership and manufacturer standards.

Qualifications:

Previous experience as a

Service Writer/Advisor

in an automotive dealership or repair shop required. Solid understanding of automotive systems and parts, especially for used vehicles. Strong customer service and communication skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities. Proficiency in dealership management systems (experience with Tekion is a plus).

Requirements:

Full-time availability (Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-5:00 PM or 8:30 AM-5:30 PM).

Reliable attendance is critical

for this position. Valid driver's license. Ability to lift at least 50lbs.
