Provide installation, startup, repair and preventive maintenance services for online sample systems, sample conditioning systems and instrumentation in the power and other industries. Service is performed at the customer site while promoting customer satisfaction and growth throughout the assigned territory.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Use established work instructions to provide installation, startup, repair and routine maintenance, calibrations and verification services for online instrumentation.
Analyze problems, identify solutions, make corrections, and troubleshoot. Provide technical support for customers while on site and while traveling. Confidently communicate problems and solutions to customers.
Maintain and coordinate a full schedule of service with customers. Manage territory workload to facilitate successful attainment of territory goals.
Full ownership of schedule and booked services.
Create service reports and deliver to customer on time per goals set forth by Service Manager.
Full service account ownership within assigned territories. Execute booked orders in total to meet goal set forth by Service Manager. Be fully aware of number of visits each agreement and ensure they are completed before contract expiration date.
Work cooperatively with service team, product support and sales (inside & outside) staff to promote customer satisfaction.
Actively promote contractual service agreements, equipment upgrades and parts & consumable purchases for equipment.
Utilize Salesforce CRM, Epicor and Microsoft Office to communicate, deliver reports to customers, manage individual schedules, track and update information, find contacts, etc.
Communicate regularly with Contract Administrator, Service Supervisor and Service Managers to maintain schedule accuracy.
Document details of activities. Submit prompt and accurate service and expense reports.
Ensure correct safety procedures are being used. Complete OSHA 10-hour general safety training.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education & Experience: Preferably a two-year technical degree in electronics; equivalent experience may substitute.
Strong electromechanical skills.
Basic mechanical aptitude and ability to run limited sample tubing and equipment mounting
Ability to demonstrate proficiency with commonly used electronic test equipment
Excellent customer service skills
Able to read and understand P&ID and isometric drawings to determine tie points and equipment mounting locations
Strong troubleshooting skills and understanding of fluid flow characteristics
Valid driver's license with Motor Vehicle Records review that satisfies company policy.
Ability to lift/carry up to 50 lbs. on industrial catwalks and stairways
Ability to work independently and prioritize work
Ability to travel
Strong computer skills required in Microsoft Office
Must be willing to submit to random drug screening
Capable of working with powered and manual hand tools
Capable of working outdoors in all weather conditions
Must be willing to follow established safety and operational procedures
TWIC (Transportation Workers Identification Credential) card possession or eligibility may be required, based on assigned region.
