Description:

Aerotek is hiring a field service technician for an equipment supplier in Omaha! This is a 1st shift, direct placement position. Hours will be 7am-3:30pm plus overtime. Pay will range from $26-$40/hr depending on skill level! Candidates will be responsible for traveling to customer sites to perform a variety of services including inspection, preventative maintenance, and repair work, on a wide range of fire apparatus equipment.

Job Duties:

1. Performing basic and complex repairs on a variety of equipment.

2. Daily diagnostics on this equipment

3. Hydraulic installs, Pneumatic work, electrical work, welding (Mig)

4. Basic testing knowledge of all machine systems

5. Assisting with Inventory Control

6. Completes Paperwork

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

This position will be a hybrid of shop work and road work. Candidates will be home almost every night but they need to be prepared for an overnight if a job is not done. They service all of Nebraska and some of South Dakota.

A lot of the work will be on electrical and valve malfunctions so if someone does not have emergency vehicle experience, they will require some training.

Education and Experience:

• Minimum 2 year Diesel Technology, Automotive Technology or Heavy Equipment Technology degree or equivalent experience
• 5 years of experience working on hydraulic, pneumatic and electrical systems or heavy equipment maintenance experience in field preferred
• Requires a valid drivers license and CDL health card, possess or have ability to obtain a CDL B rating and the ability to maintain an insurable driving record
