Service Technician I & II Summary:

The Service Technician I is responsible for troubleshooting and repairing mechanical and electrical equipment to ensure optimal performance. This position also involves scheduling and performing preventative maintenance based on customer requirements, identifying potential issues, and ensuring all work is completed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with company standards.

Job Duties:

oAnalyzes and diagnoses equipment problems and breakdowns oRecommends the correct service and repair actions to resolve equipment performance problems oMakes appropriate equipment repairs or modifications to solve operating and performance problems as dictated by the analysis of the equipment oPerforms scheduled equipment maintenance oFollows all scheduled maintenance procedures and policies as dictated by the company oDocuments each service call, providing necessary paperwork oObserves all safety procedures, makes certain that hazardous waste is properly disposed oMaintains the company service vehicles in a clean, orderly and hazard-free manner to include performing regular maintenance such as oil changes, tire rotations, etc. oSecures and maintains service and parts inventory in the company service vehicle oProvides well-maintained personal tools required to effectively perform equipment service duties oKeeps the work area clean and hazard-free

Physical Requirements and Work Environment:

While performing the duties of this position, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, use hands to handle or feel objects, tools, or controls, reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, and communicate effectively. The employee is occasionally required to sit, climb, or balance.


The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds.


Work may involve exposure to moving mechanical parts, vehicles, and varying environmental conditions, including extreme heat, extreme cold, and other weather consistent with outdoor work environment
