Greer Equipment, Inc. is seeking a motivated and skilled Service Technician to join our team in Southwest, Louisiana. This is a field-based position -- you'll report to the office occasionally but spend most of your time working independently on-site at customer locations throughout Southwest, Louisiana. These cities will include Baton Rouge, Lafayette, Sulphur, New Iberia, and all other surrounding cities.
Responsibilities
Perform maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on a wide range of supermarket equipment.
Diagnose and resolve issues efficiently and accurately.
Maintain detailed service records and uphold company safety and quality standards.
Communicate professionally with customers and the service team.
Qualifications
Previous experience in mechanical, electrical, or hydraulic service preferred.
Must have basic computer skills and a strong willingness to learn and use new diagnostic and reporting software.
Willingness to travel occasionally for factory or manufacturer training.
Availability for overtime when required -- includes participation in a rotating on-call schedule (one week at a time, including weekends).
Valid driver's license and clean driving record required.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
