Overview

Classic Trailer Sales is seeking a highly organized, solutions-driven professional to join our team in a role supporting service operations, hands-on technical work, and customer sales. This position is ideal for someone who thrives in a dynamic environment, enjoys improving systems, and takes pride in developing efficient, well-run processes - including service operations and accurate parts inventory.

What You'll Do:

Service Writing & Customer Support

Serve as the primary point of contact for service customers--intake, scheduling, quoting, and follow-up. Clearly document customer concerns, service needs, and work orders with accuracy and attention to detail. Communicate repair timelines, updates, and recommendations in a professional, customer-focused manner. Ensure the service area runs smoothly by maintaining well-organized records, parts availability, and work-order documentation.

Parts Inventory Management

Oversee daily parts operations, ensuring the right parts are in stock, labeled, and easy to access. Track inventory levels, anticipate demand, and reorder supplies to ensure zero downtime for service technicians. Maintain an organized parts room, receiving shipments, reconciling orders, and updating inventory systems. Work with vendors to source parts efficiently and cost-effectively. Identify opportunities to streamline inventory processes, reduce waste, and improve accuracy.

Technical Work & Shop Support

Perform light to moderate trailer service and repair work, including inspections, bearing repacks, brake repair/replacement, electrical diagnostic and repair, wiring, axle replacement, and other general trailer maintenance. Assist service technicians by preparing equipment, staging parts, and supporting efficient workflow. Conduct quality checks to ensure repairs and installations meet company and safety standards.

Sales & Customer Experience

Support front-of-house sales by helping customers choose the right trailer for their needs. Provide informed recommendations on products, accessories, and service packages. Maintain showroom appearance, regularly restock "front of house" inventory, and contribute to a positive buying experience. Build long-term relationships with customers through trust, transparency, and reliable communication

Mechanical aptitude and prior service writing experience with trailers, RVs, automotive, or similar equipment is strongly preferred. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, hands-on environment. Reliability, professionalism, and a strong desire to take ownership of the service and customer experience.

Pay: $23.00 - $28.00 per hour

Expected hours: 45 per week
