We are seeking an energetic and detail-oriented Service Manager to lead our RV, Marine and Powersports service department. Responsibilities
Manage the daily operations of the service department, including scheduling, workflow coordination, and resource allocation to maximize efficiency.
Lead, motivate, and develop a team of service technicians and support staff to ensure high performance standards.
Oversee repair diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance services.
Ensure all work meets quality standards and adheres to safety regulations while maintaining customer satisfaction.
Handle customer inquiries and concerns with professionalism; provide transparent explanations of repair needs and estimates.
Promote upselling of additional services and maintenance packages to enhance customer value and dealership profitability.
Oversee estimating and service writing processes to accurately document repairs and parts used.
Stay current with industry trends, diagnostic tools, and repair techniques to continually improve service offerings.
Skills
Proven dealership experience with a strong background in auto service management.
Extensive knowledge of automotive diagnostics, mechanical systems, and repair procedures including transmissions, oil changes, brake systems, alignments, suspension components, tire services, diesel engines, shocks & struts, air brakes, and auto body repairs.
Hands-on mechanic experience complemented by excellent mechanical knowledge.
Exceptional customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly and professionally.
Skilled in auto estimating software and service writing for accurate invoicing and documentation.
Ability to upsell services effectively while maintaining integrity and customer trust.
Strong leadership qualities with experience managing a team of service technicians; capable of motivating staff towards continuous improvement.
Proficiency in cash handling procedures; detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills.
