Position Overview:


As the Service Writer, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth operation of our service department. You'll manage a team of technicians, communicate with customers, and oversee the scheduling and delivery of auto services. This position requires a mix of leadership, automotive knowledge, and a passion for customer service. It's a great opportunity to help grow our business while making a direct impact on day-to-day operations.

Key Responsibilities:



Manage and lead a team of technicians, ensuring a high level of customer service and efficient operations. Serve as the primary point of contact for customers, providing clear communication and guidance on services and repairs. Collaborate with the team to diagnose issues, offer repair recommendations, and ensure customer satisfaction. Manage service schedules, ensuring the timely completion of work and the effective use of technician resources. Prepare accurate quotes, work orders, and invoices for customers. Monitor and maintain inventory levels to ensure essential parts are in stock. Provide ongoing training and mentorship to the service writer team, fostering a culture of learning and improvement. Handle customer concerns or complaints with professionalism, aiming for timely and effective resolution. Ensure compliance with safety protocols and local regulations. Continuously look for ways to improve efficiency and enhance the customer experience.

Qualifications:



Strong understanding of automotive services, repairs, and systems. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to build rapport with customers and manage a small team. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Proficiency with service writing software and computer systems. A customer-first attitude and a commitment to delivering exceptional service. High school diploma or equivalent (automotive certifications are a plus).
