Job Title: Service Dispatcher

Pay

: Range starting at $24/hr, pay will be based on experience

Job Summary:

The Service Dispatcher is responsible for coordinating and scheduling service calls for technicians, ensuring timely and efficient service delivery to customers. This role involves managing communication between customers, technicians, and service teams while maintaining accurate records and optimizing routes.

Key Responsibilities

Scheduling and Coordination:

Schedule service appointments based on customer requests and technician availability. Prioritize jobs based on urgency and customer needs.

Communication:

Serve as the primary point of contact for customers regarding service inquiries and updates. Communicate with technicians to relay job details and changes in schedules.

Record Management:

Maintain accurate records of service requests, appointments, and technician assignments. Update the dispatch system with real-time information regarding job statuses.

Problem Solving:

Address any issues or conflicts that arise during service calls, ensuring prompt resolutions. Handle customer complaints and provide appropriate solutions.

Route Optimization:

Analyze and optimize technician routes to improve efficiency and reduce travel time. Monitor technician locations to ensure timely arrival at job sites.

Reporting:

Prepare daily, weekly, or monthly reports on service activities, technician performance, and customer feedback. Provide insights to management for process improvements.

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent; relevant experience preferred. 3+ years dispatch experience (Plumbing, Electrical or HVAC experience a plus) Strong organizational skills with attention to detail Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Proficient in dispatching software and Microsoft Office Suite. Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment. Problem-solving skills with the ability to adapt to changing situations

Preferred Skills:

Experience in a customer service or dispatch role. Knowledge of the service industry (e.g., HVAC, plumbing, electrical). Familiarity with GPS and routing software.
