ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Position Summary:
Service Assistants are responsible for delivering the OTG guest experience by ensuring OTG occupied areas, including markets and restaurants, look clean, neat, and presentable to the public. By performing a variety of basic maintenance tasks, an OTG Service Assistant can help uphold the image of the facility.
Responsibilities:
General cleaning of the Markets and Restaurants by keeping it maintained and in good condition.
Vacuum, sweep, and mop floors.
Cleaning and Maintaining stock in an organized and clean fashion
Clean up spills with appropriate equipment.
Perform Covid safety procedures by sanitizing surfaces
Notify supervisors or managers of major cleaning jobs.
Collect and dispose of trash from the restaurants and markets.
Complete tasks in a timely manner with minimal supervision.
Keep cleaning supplies in stock.
Work with a contract cleaning service when necessary.
Cleans, sanitizes, and organizes the storeroom including shelving, floors, lights, and vents
Maintain knowledge of airport terminal and restaurants
Other duties, as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
Must be at least 18 years of age
Ability to read invoices and count product
Must obtain ServSafe Certification or equivalent within 30 days of being hired
Knowledge of FIFO (First In, First Out) guidelines
Ability to lift 50 pounds on a regular basis and up to 85 lbs. on occasion
Ability to climb ladders to store and retrieve product
Ability to pull/push product cart
Must be mobile and able to stand for extended periods, to stoop, kneel, and crouch
Must be available to work varied hours/days, including nights, weekends, holidays, and bad weather conditions--must be flexible
