Job Overview:

We are currently seeking a motivated and customer-focused

Assistant Service Manager / Service Advisor

to join our service department team. This position plays a critical role in delivering an exceptional service experience by scheduling service appointments, managing repair orders, and advising customers on vehicle care and maintenance. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, a professional appearance, and a customer-first attitude.

Key Responsibilities:

Schedule service appointments and gather customer and vehicle information prior to arrival when possible. Greet customers promptly and professionally, providing a welcoming service experience. Prepare accurate cost estimates for labor and parts and establish clear expectations on timelines. Communicate with customers throughout the repair process, including any changes to estimates or timelines. Obtain proper authorization before performing additional repairs. Monitor repair progress and ensure timely completion of services. Maintain Customer Satisfaction Index (CSI) scores in line with manufacturer and dealership benchmarks. Educate customers on the value of maintaining their vehicles per manufacturer recommendations using maintenance menus. Comply with all federal, state, and local regulations (e.g., OSHA, hazardous waste disposal). Follow all dealership safety policies and procedures and report any accidents immediately.

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent required. Prior sales or service advisor experience preferred. Professional appearance and demeanor. Strong oral and written communication skills. Ability to read and comprehend technical information and customer instructions. Valid driver's license and clean driving record. Must be able to pass a pre-employment background check, MVR, drug screening, and eligibility to work in the U.S.
