Job Overview

We are seeking an enthusiastic and professional Server to join our dynamic restaurant team. The ideal candidate will deliver exceptional guest experiences through attentive service, menu knowledge, and a friendly demeanor. This role requires a passion for food service, strong communication skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment. Prior restaurant or food industry experience is preferred, especially in fine dining or hospitality settings. The Server will be responsible for taking orders, serving food and beverages, managing guest relations, and ensuring sanitation standards are maintained throughout their shift.

Responsibilities

Greet guests warmly and provide excellent customer service from seating to departure Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Touch Bistro POS Upsell menu items and specials to enhance guest experience and increase sales Serve food and drinks promptly while maintaining presentation standards Handle cash transactions accurately using POS or cashiering systems, including cash handling and basic math calculations Ensure food safety and sanitation protocols are followed during food handling and serving Assist with bussing tables, cleaning workstations, and maintaining a clean dining environment Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of orders Manage guest inquiries or concerns professionally to foster guest satisfaction and loyalty Support opening or closing procedures as needed, including sanitation and setup tasks

Skills

Proven experience with POS systems such as Aloha POS, Micros POS, or OpenTable preferred Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage guests effectively Excellent communication skills and a friendly attitude Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment, especially during busy hours Knowledge of food safety standards, sanitation practices, and proper food handling techniques Experience in fine dining or hospitality environments is highly desirable Ability to upsell menu items confidently to maximize sales opportunities Basic math skills for cash handling and billing accuracy Previous experience in serving, bartending, host/host roles, or nightclub service is advantageous Familiarity with food preparation, kitchen operations, or culinary experience can be beneficial for understanding menu items and guest needs
