Job Description

We're looking for a strong Server who can also fulfill the role of Lead Server on assigned days. This is a senior front-of-house role that bridges guest service and team leadership and is responsible for handling complex guest issues, ensuring service quality, managing shift logistics like section assignments and sidework, and supporting managers by setting the service tone, all while often handling their own tables and mastering menu knowledge. The Lead Server acts as floor supervisor in the manager's absence, ensuring smooth service, smooth operations, and high guest satisfaction.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Train and mentor new servers, delegate tasks, run pre-shift meetings, and ensure team adherence to service standards. Address escalated complaints, manage VIP guest needs, provide menu recommendations, and ensure overall guest satisfaction. Oversee daily service flow, manage opening/closing duties, handle cash/POS systems, and coordinate with kitchen staff for timely food delivery. Handle administrative tasks like closing reports, voids, and scheduling, which servers typically don't. Maintain high standards for cleanliness, presentation, and adherence to health/safety regulations. Drive sales through suggestive selling and smart table pacing, ensuring efficient guest turnover.

Key Skills & Qualifications

Previous serving experience, strong leadership, excellent communication, problem-solving, and multitasking abilities. Deep menu knowledge, POS system proficiency, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
