Job Summary

We are seeking a friendly and efficient Server/Cashier/POS Associate to join our dynamic food service team. This role involves providing exceptional customer service, handling transactions accurately, and supporting food preparation and service in a fast-paced environment. This is a part time activity. Working 3 days per week. The ideal candidate will have experience in food industry settings, excellent time management skills, and proficiency with POS systems such as Aloha and Micros. Previous restaurant or cafe experience is preferred to ensure smooth operations and customer satisfaction.

Duties

Take customer orders accurately and efficiently, utilizing POS systems like Aloha POS and Micros POS. Process cash, credit, and digital payments with precision, ensuring proper cash handling procedures. Assist in food preparation, including basic food handling and sanitation practices to maintain safety standards. Serve food and beverages promptly while providing friendly customer service to enhance guest experience. Upsell menu items and promote specials to increase sales opportunities. Clear tables, bus tables, and maintain cleanliness of dining areas according to sanitation standards. Support kitchen staff with basic food prep tasks when needed. Manage order accuracy and ensure timely delivery of orders to customers. Maintain a clean and organized work environment in compliance with health regulations. Assist with inventory checks and restocking supplies as needed.

Requirements

Previous experience in food service, quick service, or fast-food restaurant environments is highly desirable. Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS is preferred. Basic math skills for cash handling, retail math, and order calculations. Strong customer service skills with a focus on hospitality and communication. Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced setting while maintaining attention to detail. Knowledge of food safety standards, sanitation procedures, and proper food handling techniques. Experience with upselling menu items to enhance sales performance. Flexibility to work during peak hours including evenings, weekends, or holidays if required. Prior experience in a cafe or retail grocery environment is a plus but not mandatory.
