Job Overview

We are seeking a friendly and efficient Server/Cashier to join our dynamic team in providing exceptional customer service in a fast-paced food service environment. The ideal candidate will have experience in food preparation, cashiering, and delivering a positive dining experience. This role involves taking orders, processing payments, serving food, and ensuring cleanliness and safety standards are maintained. Previous restaurant or cafe experience, familiarity with POS systems such as Clover, and knowledge of food safety protocols are highly valued. The position offers an opportunity to develop skills in sales, upselling, and food handling within a vibrant food industry setting.

Responsibilities

Greet customers warmly and take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems like Aloha or Micros. Process cash, credit, and digital payments efficiently while handling cash accurately. Serve food and beverages promptly while maintaining high standards of presentation and sanitation. Assist with food preparation tasks as needed, including basic cooking or assembly of menu items. Upsell menu items to enhance customer experience and increase sales opportunities. Maintain cleanliness of dining areas, counters, and workstations by bussing tables and sanitizing surfaces regularly. Follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines to ensure a safe environment for customers and staff. Manage time effectively during busy hours to serve customers efficiently without compromising quality. Support team members with additional duties such as stocking supplies or assisting in the kitchen when necessary.

Experience

Previous experience in food service, quick service restaurants, or cafes is preferred but not required; training will be provided. Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha or Micros is advantageous. Experience in cashiering, food handling, and customer service roles within the food industry is desirable. Knowledge of basic math for cash handling, retail math skills for sales upselling, and understanding of sanitation standards are beneficial. Candidates should demonstrate strong time management skills, the ability to multitask efficiently, and excellent communication skills. Prior experience working in retail stores or grocery environments that involve serving customers or managing transactions is a plus.
