We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Server/Bartender to join our team in a dynamic dining environment. The ideal candidate will have a passion for providing exceptional customer service and a strong understanding of the food industry. As a Server/Bartender, you will be responsible for ensuring that guests have an enjoyable dining experience by delivering high-quality service and maintaining a welcoming atmosphere.
Duties
Greet and seat customers in a friendly and professional manner.
Serve food and beverages promptly while ensuring accuracy in orders.
Monitor customer satisfaction throughout their dining experience and address any concerns or requests.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dining area, including sanitizing tables and utensils.
Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely preparation and delivery of meals.
Process payments efficiently using POS or OpenTable systems.
Adhere to food safety standards and regulations to ensure a safe dining environment.
Ensures that fruit and other garnishes are prepared ahead of the opening of the bar.
Maintains the bar and keeps it clean and organized.
Attractively displays glasses and liquor bottles.
Ensures that customers are of legal drinking age by checking photo IDs.
Collects money from customers for drinks prepared and served.
Uses proper judgment and, when necessary, refuses service to patrons who are intoxicated or disruptive.
Other duties as assigned.
Skills
Proficiency with POS or similar point-of-sale systems is preferred.
Knowledge of food safety practices and culinary techniques.
Basic math skills for handling transactions accurately.
Ability to sanitize work areas effectively to maintain health standards.
Strong communication skills and the ability to work well in a team-oriented environment.
Familiarity with kitchen operations and menu offerings enhances service quality.
Required Skills/Abilities:
Excellent interpersonal skills and focus on serving customers.
Ability to remain calm when dealing with unruly and argumentative patrons.
Ability to learn cash register software used by bar or restaurant.
Education and Experience:
TIPS Certification
At least one year of server related experience.
Physical Requirements:
Prolonged periods standing serving food and preparing drinks.
Ability to complete orders quickly and accurately.
Must be able to lift at least 15 pounds.
Must be legal drinking age or older.
