We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Server to join our dynamic team in a fast-paced dining environment. The ideal candidate will possess excellent customer service skills, a passion for the food industry, and the ability to create memorable dining experiences for our guests. As a Server, you will be responsible for taking orders, serving food and beverages, and ensuring guest satisfaction throughout their visit.
Duties
Greet and welcome guests in a friendly and professional manner.
Take accurate food and beverage orders using Toast POS.
Provide detailed menu descriptions and recommend items to enhance the dining experience through upselling techniques.
Serve food and drinks promptly while ensuring proper presentation and adherence to food safety standards.
Monitor guest needs throughout their meal, providing attentive service to ensure satisfaction.
Handle cash transactions accurately, including processing payments and managing cash handling procedures.
Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the dining area, including bussing tables and resetting them for new guests.
Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely preparation of orders and communicate any special requests or dietary restrictions from guests.
Assist with training new staff members on service standards and restaurant protocols as needed.
Requirements
Previous experience in a restaurant or food service role is preferred; fine dining experience is a plus.
Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha or Micros is highly desirable.
Strong time management skills with the ability to multitask effectively in a busy environment.
Excellent customer service skills with a focus on guest relations and satisfaction.
Basic math skills for handling transactions accurately.
Knowledge of food safety practices and sanitation standards is essential.
Culinary experience or kitchen experience is an advantage but not mandatory.
