Duties
Greet guests warmly and provide attentive, personalized service throughout their dining experience
Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Clover POS, ensuring clear communication with kitchen staff
Upsell menu items and specials to enhance guest satisfaction and increase sales opportunities
Serve food and drinks efficiently, maintaining proper food handling and sanitation standards at all times
Assist with food preparation, bussing tables, and maintaining cleanliness in dining areas to support smooth operations
Manage cash handling responsibilities accurately, including cashiering and processing payments via POS systems like OpenTable or similar platforms
Foster positive guest relations by addressing questions, resolving issues promptly, and ensuring a welcoming atmosphere
Skills
Proven experience in food service or restaurant environments, especially in fine dining or nightlife settings
Strong knowledge of POS systems including Clover POS, Toast POS, and cashiering procedures
Excellent customer service skills with the ability to build rapport quickly and handle guest concerns professionally
Culinary experience or understanding of food preparation and food safety standards
Effective time management skills to handle multiple tables efficiently during busy hours
Ability to upsell menu items confidently to maximize sales opportunities
Familiarity with reservation platforms like OpenTable and guest management tools such as Guest Relations software
Basic math skills for accurate cash handling and billing procedures
Knowledge of sanitation practices, food handling regulations, and general kitchen operations
