Duties

Greet guests warmly upon arrival and assist with seating arrangements using reservation systems such as OpenTable or similar platforms. Take accurate food and beverage orders, utilizing POS systems like Aloha POS or Micros POS to ensure swift processing. Provide detailed menu descriptions, upsell specials, and recommend wine pairings to enhance guest satisfaction and increase sales. Serve food and drinks efficiently while maintaining high standards of presentation, sanitation, and food safety protocols. Manage guest requests promptly, address concerns professionally, and ensure a positive dining experience from start to finish. Clear tables, bus tables as needed, and assist with food preparation or kitchen support during busy periods. Handle cash transactions accurately, perform basic math calculations for bills, process payments via POS terminals, and provide correct change. Maintain cleanliness in dining areas, adhere to sanitation standards, and support overall restaurant operations during night shifts or busy hours.

Qualifications

Previous experience in food service or restaurant environments is preferred; fine dining or nightclub experience is a plus. Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS; experience with OpenTable is advantageous. Strong customer service skills with a friendly, energetic attitude that fosters guest loyalty. Ability to manage time effectively in a fast-paced setting while multitasking seamlessly. Knowledge of food handling procedures, sanitation standards, and food safety regulations. Culinary experience or kitchen familiarity is beneficial for supporting food preparation tasks when needed. Excellent communication skills, basic math proficiency for cashiering tasks, and cash handling accuracy. Previous host/host or bussing experience is valuable; hospitality background enhances guest relations capabilities.
