Silver Branch Brewing Company is seeking beer lovers looking to provide exceptional hospitality experiences in our taproom in Silver Spring. As a server you'll be the guest liaison ensuring that we deliver an incredible, welcoming guest experience for all of our fans. Candidates must have the ability and willingness to learn and share beer knowledge. Severs must be dedicated, passionate and hardworking.
Server
This position is great for individuals looking to work in a fast-paced, fun, and friendly environment within the beer industry. A server at Silver Branch Brewing Company is the main point of contact for delivering warm, friendly, and hospitable experiences for our fans. Candidates must be attentive, patient, and willing to answer all guest questions to the best of their ability while operating with a team-oriented mindset to help their fellow taproom team members. This role is perfect for individuals focused on anticipating guest needs, capable of multi-tasking, and inclined to work well under pressure while maintaining a friendly disposition. An extensive amount of beer knowledge or willingness to learn about beer and provide thoughtful answers and recommendations to our guests is required. Candidates that are devoted to creating an awesome guest experience and that take pride in their work will thrive in this role.
Server Responsibilities
Deliver amazing guest experiences with strong knowledge of our offerings and a welcoming, friendly demeanor
Always help the Manager On Duty greet guests and ensure that all guests feel welcome from the moment they walk in the door
Consistently find ways to create a better service environment through cleanliness, preparation, and organization
Properly ID patrons to make sure they are 21 and over and carefully monitor the continued consumption and overall experience of guests visiting Silver Branch
Proficient in Point-of-Sale software and able to identify / troubleshoot potential issues
Responsible for knowing our beer, wine, cocktails and food menu selections and capable of providing recommendations based on guest input
Knowledge, Skills & Qualifications
Friendly and fun to be around with a strong work ethic!
Capable of learning and implementing new service-based technology
Corporate service industry experience is a plus
TIPS, TAM, Servsafe, or other alcohol safety certifications are beneficial
Must have passed the Certified Beer Server Cicerone Exam, or must pass within eight weeks of hire
Available to work a variety of hours including weekend
Have own individual style, but maintain neat and professional appearance
Professional with excellent customer service skills
Physical Requirements
Must be able to stand and/or walk for long periods of time
* Must be able to lift 50 lbs. and be able to bend, reach, squat to clean
